Vegan BBQ & Soul Food

Vegan Mob
V

egan Mob proves plant-based food can be every bit as bold and soulful as the originals, and founder Toriano Gordon has built a Bay Area movement doing exactly that. This bright yellow food truck near Lake Merritt slings vegan barbecue and soul food with serious flavor — smoky "brisket," gumbo, dirty rice, mac, and the famous loaded burritos and bowls. Everything is 100% plant-based, but the heartiness and seasoning will win over even committed meat-eaters. Catch it Tuesday through Saturday for lunch through early evening. Comfort food with a conscience, done right.
