CREDIT CARDS: We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover & Diner Club. All credit card provided at check-in time are required to be EMV enable (chipped). Any credit card that is not equipped with a chip will not be accepted. We also do not accept any prepaid debit or credit cards (For example: American Express Serve, Green Dot, NetSpend, etc.). NOTE: As debit cards (with a credit card logo) may be accepted, we suggest using a major credit card instead. Settlements process much quicker on credit cards than debit cards, and credit cards sometimes offer better travel protection.
NO SMOKING POLICY: We are a 100% Non-Smoking hotel, and violation of this simple policy may result in hefty fines, starting at $250. Smoking on the balcony or patio is not allowed, as it's still considered part of the hotel. California law states 20-feet from any exit or window. Please don't break the law.
NO PET POLICY: As much as we love our furry friends, we ask that you either leave them at home with a pet sitter or accommodate them at Oakland Wag Hotel. Any undeclared pets may result in a fine of $250. Registered and training service animals are, of course, allowed. We highly encourage service animal owners to be on the 1st floor of our hotel, as it's more convenient for the animal's relief. NOTE: The service animal must not be unattended in our rooms. The service animal must go where ever the owner goes.
NO PARTIES: Our mission statement is: "Provide an enjoyable experience for our guest" It is impossible for our guests to enjoy their time with us if another guest and their friends are partying and making noise next door or down the hall. If a party is suspected, we will ask all 'non-registered' guest to vacate the room, and the 'registered' guest may be fined $250. Let's be kind to our fellow guests, and don't party.
ROOM RATE: When a reservation is confirmed, you agree to the nightly room rate at which time you booked the reservation. Confirmed reservation rates do not change. NOTE: Rates are subject to occupancy & are ever changing. We suggest booking as soon as possible to get the best rate available.
TAXES: Occupancy Tax: 14% of room rate | Oakland TBID Tax: $1.50 per night, per room | California Tourism Tax: 0.195% of room rate. NOTE: These taxes and fees are subject to change without notice. Every guest is responsible to pay taxes on their reservation*.
CHILD POLICY: Children 17 and under stay free with one paying adult/guardian.
DEPOSIT POLICY: A credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee the room.
INCIDENTALS: Each reservation requires a $100 incidental hold that is to be placed on the credit card on file for the duration of the reservation. At the time of check out, if no incidentals were posted to the room, then the $100 hold is returned to the credit card on file. NOTE: It may take 3 to 5 business days for the funds to reflect on your statement for credit cards or 5 to 10 business days for debit cards.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be made by 3 p.m. PST, 72-hours prior to arrival in order to avoid a one night cancellation fee, plus tax.
NO SHOW POLICY: Guest that no-show for their reservations prevent the hotel from selling the room. Therefore, reservations that no-show will be charged for one-nights room and tax to the credit card provided at time of booking.
PACKAGE HANDLING: Package handling is free while there is an existing reservation or meeting.
LUGGAGE STORAGE: Luggage storage is available through the Front Desk at no additional charge for current registered guests of the hotel.
PREPAID BOOKINGS: Prepaid bookings are non-cancellable and non-refundable. Credit card provided at time of booking will be charged anytime after the booking is made. If the credit card declines, the reservation will be forfeited.
CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORMS: We only accept credit card authorization forms from companies or educational institutions. Please contact the hotel at 510-536-6633 to ask us to email you a secured credit card authorization form. This form must be submitted digitally; we no longer accept faxed or emailed credit card authorization forms due to PCI compliance. NOTE: If the appropriate procedure is not followed, we will not accept the credit card authorization form.
*TAX EXEMPTION: All Tax Exempt Guests must bring an Individual Tax Exemption form from their organization and present it upon checking in. We do not provide tax exemption forms.
ADDITIONAL PERSON FEE: $10.00 per adult, over two adults. Maximum of 4 adults, per room.
PARKING: Overnight parking is $15 per night. If your vehicle takes up more than 1 parking space, then it's considered oversize. Oversize vehicles are welcome to park along the street, or pay $15 per occupied space per night. Any vehicle that is in violation of this policy may be towed at owner's expense.
PARK & FLY POLICY: In order to leave your car here while traveling, you must book the Park & Fly rate. Parking fees will be applied at a discounted rate on your folio. up to 10 nights. If you need more than 10 nights, it comes at an additional cost of $10 per night. NOTE: Maximum parking length is up to 30 days. No belongings should be left in the car while parked with us.
SPECIAL REQUESTS: Any special requests, including room type, cannot be guaranteed and will be honored based on availability at check-in.
