This Motown quintet has captured the hearts of audiences around the world with its legendary R&B vocals. Although only one original member survives, Henry Lee Fambrough is just as vigorous as he was in his prime. These days, he performs with Jessie Robert Peck and Marvin Taylor (joined 2009), Ronnie Moss (joined 2013), and C.J. Jefferson (joined 2020) to form the iconic five-piece band.
Keith Ferguson also joins the act onstage as a keyboardist and musical director. In his career, he has worked with countless renowned artists, including Anita Baker, Jennifer Holliday (Dreamgirls), and Mary Wilson (from the Supremes). Having worked with legends in the industry, you can expect an excellent show to cap your summer in Oakland.

Throughout his musical career spanning over five decades, he’s recorded several romantic love songs and duets. Some iconic names he’s collaborated with include, Roberta Flack, Natalie Cole, Minnie Riperton, Chaka Khan, and Lea Salonga. He dominates R&B and soul as the first music artist in history to have multiple records top separate charts. Oakland natives and visitors can experience the magic of his voice in person this fall.
Shawn Mendes: September 17 at Oakland Arena
Tell me, “why are [you] wasting time on all your wasted crying” when you can see Shawn Mendes live in Oakland? The Canadian singer-songwriter is taking his latest world tour, “Wonder,” to the largest city of Alameda County, California. With special guest, Canadian singer and dancer Tate McRae, you can expect an energetic performance throughout the night.
Despite being active in the industry for less than a decade, Mendes has won at least 130 awards throughout his career. He is deeply involved in his music as a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. Catch him play the piano and guitar in this one-night-only performance at the Oakland Arena!

My Chemical Romance truly stuck to their word when they said “can we pretend to leave and then we'll meet again?” The American rock band is making a stop in Oakland as part of their first tour in nine years! They’re back to perform their platinum and gold hits that birthed an entire generation of emo kids.
Known for popularizing the emo subgenre of punk rock music, MCR’s comeback is an opportunity for alternative rock fans to discover and rediscover music that discusses many topics you wouldn’t normally find in the top ten pop hits.
