Our two waterfront hotels put you about 20 minutes from Moscone Center, with parking at just $17 per night, free breakfast before the keynotes, and a calm waterfront setting to recharge after a day of sessions. Better value, easier mornings, and a taste of The Town.

Microsoft Ignite is the company's flagship technology conference for IT professionals, developers, and enterprise leaders, centered on Azure, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and AI. Ignite 2026 comes to Moscone Center in San Francisco November 17–20, with keynotes, deep technical sessions, hands-on labs, and direct access to Microsoft engineering teams. It's a packed few days — so a relaxing, better-value base just across the bay makes good sense. Check the program and plan your stay around it.
Here's the Oakland advantage: during convention weeks, San Francisco hotels near Moscone book out and spike to two or three times their normal rates. Stay on the sunny side of the bay instead. "My husband and I stayed here many of times when we first started dating. This was my first time here since renovation. The hotel looks really beautiful. I love the décor in the rooms and lobby. the only thing I was not happy about was the shower head. No good pressure at all."
"The room is spacious, very clean and nice view. Breakfast was excellent. Check-out time of Noon is more than acceptable. With the exception of the bed sheets, as I am accustomed to 450 or over thread, I'll have to bring my own silk sack."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My wife and I recently stayed for 3 nights in a King Water Front Suite. The place was beautiful and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. The fancy coffee machine was great and better than Starbucks.
I can't say enough about the convenience of their shuttle. It takes you all over or to other transportation access. We had no need to rent a car. We took the shuttle to the Ferry to San Francisco and took the shuttle to BART to go to the Raider-Charger game. We even got a tour of Lake Merritt and downtown Oakland with the Director of Sales while he was driving us in the shuttle. They picked us up from Amtrak at 10 PM the night we arrived before we had even checked in and took us back to Amtrak after we checked out.
The Waterfront was quiet and relaxing while we weren't out running around. There was only one restaurant within walking distance, but with the shuttle that didn't matter. The staff was all very friendly and helpful and were very knowledgeable about the BART and Ferry schedule, etc. We were very pleased and have put this hotel in our list of contacts in case we need to stay in Oakland again in the future."
