Dear Mark,
Some months ago I met with your Director of Sales, Michael Weber, CMP to discuss accommodations for a forthcoming reunion - the Class of 1955 from Alameda High School. Michael could not have been more helpful, and as a result many of our classmates stayed at the Inn this past weekend.
Word got around quickly that everyone was pleased with the facility, and that they would definitely recommend the Executive Inn & Suites to friends and business connections.
When I mentioned to Michael that we would like an area for a gathering of classmates the night before the reunion, which was held at Scott's at Jack London Square on Saturday, he suggested using the lounge area for no-host cocktails and that 'Howie' would be our bartender. This worked perfectly, and Howie was an incredible bartender and did an excellent job and was very personable with the guests.
On behalf of the Alameda High 55th Reunion Committee, I want to thank you and every one of your staff who helped make this weekend such a great success. It was greatly appreciated.

A belated, but not less sincere thank you for the great stay we had at the Inn on Nov 9-13. We had a fine and very comfortable room with a view, one that presented no problems for my wife while using her walker.
The complimentary continental cuisine (I just could not resist that) for breakfast was right up there with the best we have experienced in out travels and the atmosphere was certainly relaxing. A point really appreciated by people such as we, plucked from our beds at an earlier than usual hour!
And we must make special note of the shuttle service. That is really a great feature. We were able to go where and almost to the minute, when we wanted. It eliminated the need to rent a car and promptly get lost (it has happened!)
Your staff was also efficient and friendly and that certainly is important for tourists. Then there was the friendly personal attention you gave us, we certainly felt like honored guest!

Great hotel. We stayed in this hotel for 2 night in October 2010 and we loved it so much! We had a junior suite and it was adorable large spaciuos with a loverly and so enchanting bathroom; the bed was comfy and everything it was perfect the room was very very clean and it's the really really important! The breakfast was very good and there was a free coffee, hot chocolate for all day in our building and we appreciated a lot. We choose this hotel for visiting San Francisco and we think it's a great idea because: it's most convenience than San Francisco's hotel
you can reach San Francisco in 10 minutes by car. Parking and breakfast is free and it's very cheap but very very nice hotel. We love this hotel!

Beautiful, large room with lovely estuary view & comfy bed. Slept so well, we did not get up in time for the breakfast at 10am. The hotel shuttle drove us to & from the gorgeous Jack London Square restaurants & shops. Beautiful lobby & reception areas. Our NYE party waiters were attentive to every request & need in addition to a dance floor with surrounding tables and comfortable seating. The delicious desserts added to our fabulous evening of Joannie Brant (premier vocalist) & The Nob Hill Knights music.

Awesome. The room is spacious, very clean and nice view. Breakfast was excellent. Check-out time of Noon is more than acceptable. With the exception of the bed sheets, as I am accustomed to 450 or over thread, I'll have to bring my own silk sack.

Fabulous Getaway. Enjoyed our stay. It was a Fabulous Getaway with a view of the water and a terrace and very convenient to restaurants and nightlife at Jack London Square. The room was exceptionally large, quite, clean and accommodating and had great amenities. The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to comply with all of our requests. Their shuttle drove us to and from local restaurants and night clubs. Their complimentary breakfast buffet was wonderful. We extended our stay another night but wished we could have stayed longer.

Great Hotel Excellent location & Views, Friendly staff. The Hotel is superb, great location by the riverside with nice views and balcony. The staff were all friendly and courteous. Our bedroom was large and had all the facilities we needed, including microwave, fridge, coffee/tea maker, tv, and free internet etc wonderful. There was free transport by the hotels minibus to rail station,town and even the local bars. Buffett breakfast had plenty of choice and was available in the dining room overlooking the river. Free newspapers/cookies on the reception counter, Wonderful. The hotel didn't have a bar which was a shame, but there was a local bar 10 minute walk away. Overall a really pleasant stay and we look forward to returning one day.

Great Place to Stay! I am a frequent business traveler to Oakland, and sometimes I stay there up to 4 nights a week. I had a great stay at the Executive Inn & Suites in Oakland, CA. They have a great property with exceptional service for a good price. I have had a great experience. I really like the free shuttle service. It saves me allot of money. I also take advantage of the breakfast every morning. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a stay in Oakland.

Little Paradise in Oakland. My husband and I travel to San Francisco for vacation, we had a awful experience in a different hotel so we cancel our reservation. We drove around Oakland and found this little paradise by the beach. The room was clean, rooms were comfortable, good customer service. The staff was very helpful, Miguel gave us a nice room on the water with a balcony and provide a good customer service, he even took us to different restaurants and shopping. The breakfast its good and free shuttle.!

Very good and getting better. We've stayed at this hotel by the water for a number of years. It seems to be getting better. Good quality, terrific value for its location and amenities. Lovely setting. Comes with breakfast and free newspaper with in-room coffee. Solid mattress. Large comfortable lobby. Really - you can't beat this place. Oh! And airport pick up, no less!

Water front rooms are lovely. Stayed one night, lovely room with balcony overlooking water and distant view of San Francisco skyline. Pleasant staff. 15 minutes to airport by car. very close to interstate but waterfront rooms are quiet. Varied breakfast.

5 Star Value. My wife and I recently stayed for 3 nights in a King Water Front Suite. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was beautiful and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. The fancy coffee machine was great and better than Starbucks. I can't say enough about the convenience of their shuttle. It takes you all over or to other transportation access. We had no need to rent a car. We took the shuttle to the Ferry to San Francisco and took the shuttle to BART to go to the Raider-Charger game. We even got a tour of Lake Merritt and downtown Oakland with the Director of Sales while he was driving us in the shuttle. They picked us up from Amtrak at 10 PM the night we arrived before we had even checked in and took us back to Amtrak after we checked out. The Waterfront was quiet and relaxing while we weren't out running around. There was only one restaurant within walking distance, but with the shuttle that didn't matter. The staff was all very friendly and helpful and were very knowledgeable about the BART and Ferry schedule, etc. We were very pleased and have put this hotel in our list of contacts in case we need to stay in Oakland again in the future.

Very Satisfied. We stayed at the hotel multiple times during January - February of this year due to the unexpected illness and hospitalization of my mother, at a nearby hospital. I would like to compliment the General Manager on the wonderful staff you have. My mother passed away in February, but I will always remember the compassion and heartfelt concern your staff showed at a very difficult time in our lives, especially Mardy and Doris. They both exemplified the true meaning of customer service. Being from out of town, we stayed multiple times over a two week period and the accommodations and service were always excellent!

It is a gorgeous hotel with warm and informative desk clerks. I came all the way from Saudi Arabia. My mother lives in Piedmont and is very ill so that was the primary reason for my trip. My suite was comfortable and peaceful and allowed me to relax after the stressful activities of dealing with care givers, doctors, lawyers and family members. The service at Executive Inn & Suites was extra special. With all I had going on, I had to have an emergency orthoscoptic surgery on my left knee 5 days after I arrived. The desk clerk, Kelly, went the extra mile to insure I could avail myself of all services and amenities. Kelly made sure I knew about the the hotel transport to the hospital area as well as the dining areas at Jack London Square. This was important information for me while I recuperating. I am very grateful for her professionalism and for going the extra mile to see that I had the available support and awareness fo associated amenities.
The room,suite was comfortable, functional with spacious bath and living areas and a beautiful and peaceful view. It is an exceptional value for the money. The best parts of the my stay was the personalized service and the very comfortable and beautiful room! I will definitely stay here again and I am signing up for the Executive Rewards Club.

Great employees. Great, oversized room with a wonderful view of the SF Bay Estuary. Wonderful complimentary Continental breakfast and late afternoon hors d'oeuvre's. But most importantly, the great people who take care of the guests. Mike, Marta, and others made the visit extraordinarily pleasant. And to top it off, we left some clothing in a drawer, subsequently called about the problem. They packed and sent it to us.

Wonderful Staff - very helpful. I have never stayed in a hotel with staff that greeted you by name, took you anywhere locally in their vans, and just were great the whole way. I would definitely stay here again. The water side (estuary) has little to no sound, and the amenities were pretty good. Kelly from the front desk was always there to take care of my requests.

Most pleasant surprise in location, staff, services. A larger than expected facility, with an outstanding staff, who took care of our needs. The hotel shuttle took us to places other than the airport. They will take you wherever you need to go. BART and Amtrak are nearby. Freeway accessible. comfortable rooms. Continental Breakfast. The friendliest staff we've encountered in a long time. Close to Alameda, Coast Guard Island, Oakland Airport, and Jack London Square. This will be our first call when we need to vist the Oakland area again.

Perfect Local Honeymoon Getaway. My husband and I had a small wedding in Oakland and decided to stay at a hotel that night locally. Our friend, Byron, who works for the Executive Inn and Suites recommended that we stay there for our wedding night. The suite that we stayed in was beautiful, spacious and VERY CLEAN. There was a balcony attached to our room and we had an awesome view of the water. A variety of foods was served at the continental breakfast and the outside seating was very comfortable with the chairs and tables provided. My husband and I had a great time staying at this hotel and we would not hesitate to do so again.

Excellent experience and value! It's clear why this hotel is rated #1 in Oakland for business travel. I am spending the week here as a solo business traveler (and a woman on my own). Everything is what I would expect for a business travel experience. The room is clean, comfortable, VERY quiet (I have a room on the estuary side - the little balcony overlooking the water is a welcome respite after an exhausting day!), and has all the necessary amenities for the business traveler. As a woman traveling alone, I feel safe, which is important. The morning breakfast buffet has more choices than I can eat, it's absolutely satisfactory. It's nice to have a choice of newspapers. Quinn's Lighthouse Restaurant just down the street is a great and convenient place for a nice, relaxing dinner and drink - service is top notch, Grady mixes good cocktails, and the prices are very fair. Bus is a convenient walk away (I don't have a car). The staff is friendly and professional. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to other travelers!

Extraordinary Experience. Executive Inn and Suites is a top notch accommodation in Oakland, CA. I couldn't believe how friendly the staff was… The service was excellent and the Inn and rooms are gorgeous! The rooms are kept impeccably clean. We had a continental breakfast that was over-the-top, EVERY DAY: make your own waffles, or enjoy hotcakes, eggs, cereal, yogurt or a variety of pastries! Fresh juice, coffee and Espresso drinks served free every day, all day. The views are spectacular; watching boats travel to and from the bay from your room and the most comfortable beds and cleanest facilities I could have ever hoped for. Although the breeze was great from the room, while at the pool it was perfect not too hot or cold. Jacuzzi style tubs in the rooms and then the real thing, of course, alongside the pool. Not to mention, Michael, the manager was so personable and friendly, I felt like I'd known him for years! I literally can't wait to return.
Michael seemed to enjoy greeting us and giving us a quick tour of the area and parking was free and plentiful… with a complimentary shuttle to BART or Oakland airport you just can't beat it. Not to mention its central location: just minutes from the bay bridge to San Francisco and a quick jaunt (shuttle service) to "Old Oakland" … Jack London Square, where you can Kayak and enjoy food from around the world, not to mention a great variety of night life. Excellent every time. We have stayed at this property several times because our daughter attended law school in San Francisco. We stay in the all suites section where the rooms are bigger and face the water (my guess is rooms in the other building on the highway side could be quite noisy as it is just off the freeway). The rooms are nicely-sized with a micro, mini-fridge and coffee-maker, and they provide a very nice breakfast in the room rate. There is a small workout facility and a business center for printing boarding passes.
It is close to Jack London Square and not far from the airport; it's also not TOO bad a drive into the city, making it a very affordable, but quite nice alternative to hotels in San Francisco.

The staff make the difference among other hotels! Having stayed at many hotels the accommodations are all the same. As a frequent traveler you can expect the usual services like continental breakfast, vending and shuttle service. Problems always arise when traveling and the experience comes down to the staff who handles them. What makes Oakland Executive Inn exceptional is the staff. The place has a high retention rate so you can expect to see the same smiling faces. When problems do arise you can expect friendly and pro active responses. This place has the personel touch. From the beautiful flowers and estuary views to the friendly, efficient and courteous staff the Executive Inn is an oasis in the Oakland/Alameda area, and at the same time a good value. Today for example, Mardy, went from her task at the front desk seamlessly to shuttle driver and never missed a beat with her helpful upbeat and professional attitude and smile which combined - translated a local business trip into an enjoyable and speedy endeavor. This is why I have returned to this property on business trips to Oakland for over 10 years.

Would never stay any place else when in Oakland! The Inn is ideally located and Mardy at the front desk is always warm and welcoming! I only wish there were more locations such as this one! Clean and cozy rooms , wonderful staff and beautiful view. I have been a frequent guest over the past four years and have grown to know the wonderful staff, especially Mardy and AJ who always greet me with a warm, friendly welcome and utmost professionalism. I frequently visit Oakland for business. I have tried other Hotels in town for comparison reasons and have decided never to stay elsewhere but this Inn. The basic rooms are a bit dated (old tvs and furniture) but they make up for it with cleanliness;beds are comfy, linens and towels fresh, quality soap,coffee maker with Peerless Coffee and green tea bags. The Suites are very nice and worth paying the extra to stay in if you want a more updated room. The waterside views are beautiful and the outdoor pool overlooks the water! Awesome place to relax. Plus they offer breakfast in the morning and wine in the late afternoons. The price is more than reasonable especially booking direct on their website.

We Loved Our Stay! I chose this hotel from reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. From the moment we checked in, we were impressed. The staff was excellent, including Miguel and Mardy, who made sure we were pleased with our stay. The room was large and looked out onto the water. The bed was super comfortable. They have a business center with computers which was important because we forgot our laptop and had to check messages from clients. The breakfast was unbelievable--everything you could imagine, and changed daily. From now on, this is the only place we will stay in the east bay!

Bryon and his staff at this site are excellent. We use the Executive Inn and Suites for our special guest presenters for our organization. We are always given quality service from the front desk to housekeeping. We have worked with Bryon to at times find immediate space for last minute meetings and we have always been accommodated. They go the extra mile and make sure their shuttle service works for our speakers. While also trying to give them tips and suggestions on where to go to enjoy the Oakland and SF area. If there is something wrong once its reported they take immediate action.

My first choice! My first choice for where to stay when traveling in and out of OAK. It is clean, in fact is newly renovated, and is a really comfortable place to stay. If you can afford to stay on the waterside, it is worth it, both for the view and for the added quiet. I , however, usually end up staying on the city side for budget reasons, and even though it is a bit noisier from being nearer to the freeway, it is still quiet enough! It is situated next to the bay near Alameda Island, with a walking path along the water right behind the buildings. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Most of the staff have worked there for a long time, and some even welcome me as if I was a good friend when I arrive (like Mardy, one of the many wonderful and personable front desk clerks, who greeted me on my last visit) The breakfast is usually quite a bit better than the usual motel fare!!! All in all, it is my favorite place to stay! Park'n'fly is a good option as well. Free airport shuttle, short distance to airport, all very nice, friendly drivers, and new vans!. Airport pick-up on demand!

Ideal. I have stayed here on monthly trips for over 3 years. I am ashamed to say that I have tried other locations in the bay area, but have come back here every time. This hotel has all of what I expect for personal or business relations. Easy accesses from the freeway, close restaurants, and close to any attractions that you would like to visit. The beds are comfortable (a must), rooms, shower, and the lounge are all very nice. One of the best things is the friendly employee's that have always been wonderful, even on bad days. I would have to say that Mardy is my favorite employee and I will continue to stay here on a monthly basis. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the price for your room is absolutely reasonable. Well worth the stay.

Excellent Customer Service It is always nice to be greeted by a smiling face when being picked up at the airport by the hotel shuttle van. This smiling face is Doris. I really appreciate her up beat personality and sincere professionalism in representing Executive Inn. I stay at your hotel at least three times per month and I have recommended the Executive Inn to several of my collegues. The service provided by your hotel have always made me feel it is my home away from home. Definitely the best of its type in Oakland- We arrived late and tired and found the night staff genuinely interested in helping us get to our rooms quickly. Hotel is very clean and tidy, the rooms are a good size - go for the water side, it is worth the extra and although there are not many trains - you won't here them. Although the view is not spectacular, to have a balcony to sit on over the water is nice. Breakfast was reasonable variety and fresh. Easy to find and on and off the I-state.

Nice Hotel, Nice Staff- The hotel is very quiet, and Waterfront view will make total relax: The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Mardy. They provide free shuttle service to and from the nearest train station and airport. I found the complimentary breakfast to be quite generous. (It's actually better in the main building than in the suite building) The beds in the suite rooms were very comfortable -- I've stayed in many hotels of this level before and the mattress pads seemed to be a little different, firm but also soft. very nice. Free use of the business center was very helpful too. Overall, this place is highly recommended.

Extraordinary service- My stay at the Executive Inn and Suites was very pleasant. The hotel is clean and very customer oriented. Beds are comfortable and the hotel is very upscale with extremely reasonable prices. I received extraordinary service from several people. Mardy has a very caring attitude. She went beyond my expectations to make my stay pleasant and meet my needs. Nep the maintenance man fixed light in a conference room in a expeditious manner than checked in twice to ensure everything was ok. Sharon was able to make available a small conference room for a meeting of 5 people. She was accommodating and made sure we had all of the supplies we needed. The staff treated me like I was family. I highly recommend this hotel. Our company, Kaiser Permanente, also has selected this hotel as an option.

Great Customer Service- I have been staying at the hotel 3 to 5 days a week since late 2009 for business. The staff has given me outstanding service in all the services they provide. Rooms are clean, I like the way they support saving the environment, their complimentary breakfast is perfect for me and they make it easy to travel. They provide shuttle service to public transportation which is extremely helpful to me. Every employee seems to care for their job, it is refreshing to see total good customer service. would like to acknowledge one of the drivers, her name is Doris. She does not make us rush, she lets each of us know when she will be leaving, she talks to us during the commute and adds greatly to my good experience with this hotel. Good job Doris.

Awesomely Accomodating- Mardy was particularly helpful. I have allergies to cleaning products and she went out of her way to accommodate my special needs. The hotel room was spacious, very important to me as I travel for work for extended periods of time. It was quiet and had an excellent view of the water with a sliding glass door to open for fresh air. I was quite comfortable there.
